Peterborough Currents Election Special zines

New series of five print zines explore the essential issues this municipal election

Peterborough Currents is very excited to announce the release of our latest project, the Peterborough Currents Election Special zines.

This pack of five one-page zines explores five of the most important issues facing Peterborough this election season: homelessness, addictions, downtown vitality, democracy & council culture, and climate change.

It’s already been a chaotic election season, with a lot of candidates, a lot of chat, and a lot of bright-eyed sloganeering, but we wanted to go beyond the buzz, taking a hard look at the issues of the day. What’s the situation on the ground? What have our elected officials actually been doing… or not doing? And with Peterborough facing multiple crises and an uncertain path forward, how do we fix it?

We hope these zines will help you to better understand your city, sparking questions that you can ask to candidates on the campaign trail, and then keep asking them after they take office and over the next four years.
