The Queer Maker Market is back on Sunday June 9, with 13 vendors bringing their pride and their creations to Dreams of Beans

Sunday, June 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can browse and shop artistic creations by 13 queer and BIPOC makers at Dreams of Beans.
This is the second time Aimee Leptick has run the Queer Maker Market, with the inaugural event taking place during Peterborough Pride week last September.
“Quite often during Pride week and month, the emphasis is on events, performances, and gatherings, and I felt the makers in the community were left out,” she said. “This gives queer and BIPOC members of our community a chance to shine and be showcased as well. I aim to keep our event as accessible as I can so that more and more folks can take part.”
Leptick hopes to run the next Queer Maker Market during Pride week in September, but for the June 9 event she has gathered a diverse group of talented vendors, with creations like zines, stickers, art prints, collages, rugs, stationary, handmade bags, and accessories available for sale.
For the first attendees who arrive, there are 20 free swag bags filled with small items from the featured vendors up for grabs.
